What People Are Saying About Jensen Speakers:

"I just finished the building of a bass/guitar cab with your Jensen Mod 15-200. Its perfect with my Traynor Bassmaster YBA-1A MKII 100 watts head. For bass, I got a vintage 70s rock sound as well as a punk sound depending on the Eq setting. For guitar, classic cranked british sound out there. I'm very pleased for the moment. Great product for the price, only time will tell for reliability and I'll still be a buyer if you keep low prices, great quality and don't move your factory to Asia."
-
Antoine in Quebec, Canada

"I bought a pair of P10R's for a friend's Vibrolux as payment for a drill press I bought from him, I liked the sound so I bought a pair to go with my Fender Vibrosonic and my Peavey Delta Blues 210 and they sound great,
-
Pierre in Eau Claire, WI

"I purchased a Jensen C10R. Wow, amazing! it made the replaced speaker sound like a toy. also the quality and workmanship was flawless...I finally have the tone I've been looking for. thank you."
-
Brian in West Palm Beach , FL

"I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Limited Edition that came with a Jensen P12N speaker. This speaker does wonders for the Hot Rod tone. I can't imagine having any other speaker in this amp and having it sound so good. I have so much trust in Jensen that I also plan to change out the stock speaker in my Champion 600 to a Mod 6-15."
-
Rick in Irvine, CA

"I was able to get a good deal on a pair of C12N speakers to replace the pair of Jensen Vibrantos that were originally in my 1968 Fender Bandmaster.  They sure do sound sweet.."
-
Joseph in Medford, NY

"I have used Jensen Speakers since the middle 60's. I recently built a 2x12 cabinet with horns using a 60's vintage Jensen. I drive it with a 60 watt amp and WOW! It kicks! If I ever decide to buy new speakers the choice will be JENSEN."
-
Glenn in Warrensburg, MO

"As for Jensen speakers: I have nothing but accolades - Jensen speakers have been a part of my music life for over 40 years and I've never had a single problem with any of them."
-Dale in Duluth MN

"My Mod 6-15 speaker sounds great in my Fender Champ 600 reissue amp! I look forward to jamming on my Jensen loaded amp."
-Fred in New York, NY

"Just installed my C12N into my Blues Junior and what a difference its made. It is like the difference between instant and filter coffee, just a far richer, deeper more developed tone with 10 times the presence. A true Blues tone......"
-Marco in London, England

"I am a Tube Amp fanatic, and an amp builder and I would like to sing the praises of the new Jensen NEO's. I tested several speakers for inclusion in my 25W Combo Amplifier, and the Jensen NEO 12 100W is just the ticket. The tone is full, yet it has that top end sparkle. And it breaks up very smoothly. Not only are they light weight, they are also extremely efficient. A NEO 10 or 12 with a 25W amp is "extremely loud". So not only do you get a lightweight 100W speaker, but you get great tone and you can drive it with a small amp like a Deluxe.

I also recommend them as a replacement Fender Princeton's and Deluxes. For one customer, I installed a NEO-10 and piezo tweeter (with attenuation) in a 70's Princeton to bring out the top end jangle of acoustics using piezo pickups. The NEOs are magic!" -
Dale of Old School Amps in Olympia, WA

"I ended up purchasing a vintage Mod 35. I love the speaker’s sound, response, and slight tone coloration, and will be ordering 4 more shortly for my 4x12."
-Alex of "The Blackout Drunks" and "Sameoldsomethingnew" in Medford, WI

"I just replaced the original C12R in my 1962 Gibson Falcon GA19RVT with a reissue C12R, after 46 years the original was a little tired. Good move! This reissue is the ticket !!"
-Gabby in Hopewell, VA

"I got a 5" mod series 8ohm speaker that I put into a 9V powered solid state combo guitar amp that I built from scratch with electronics from Radio Shack in the gutted case of an old Macintosh Plus computer which I gave to my pro-guitar player brother-in-law as a Christmas present! If you ever saw the "hottie" toaster amp, well that was my inspiration - 1/2 watt with a warm vintage sound (courtesy of Jensen), a gain pot, and a fat/lean switch.

And it sounds sweet, thanks in no small part to the Jensen vintage speaker. This must be true since it was the only thing in the whole deal that was used as it was originally intended.

I'm going to use the Mod series 6" speaker (I wish that came in an 8ohm as well as 4ohm) in the next one that I build. But that has to wait until I finish my current project which is a guitar amp housed in an an old Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera with a speaker/grill where the flashbulb sits."

-Vince in Portland, OR

"I'm using a 12" Jensen Neo for steel guitar. I power it with a Crate "Power Block" (150 watts. Obviously, I always know I can't turn up all the way). However, I have never had any problem getting enough stage volume. I would love to see Jensen come up with a higher power version of this speaker in case I would ever decide to use a more powerful unit with it. Pedal steel guitars need to be CLEAN! I love the clarity, warmth, and airy-ness of Jensen speakers, not to mention the lighweight factor! Through the years, I've had amps with older Jensens . This "new breed" of neodymium speakers are just what musicians need . Its time to enjoy modern technology and not live in the past. I will always be interested in any new developments Jensen would come up with in the future."
-
Fred - Nashville studio musician in Franklin,TN

"I picked up a couple of C12N reissues that sound great in my vintage Fender Bandmaster Cabinet. Jensen Speakers were the originals that gave Fender their classic sound. So thanks for all."
-Gilbert in Cupertino, CA

"I use a reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb with a Jensen C12N an the tone is everything that a working Blues player could want. I have tried other speakers but I always go back to the Jensens. I even have them in my 68 Princeton Reverb, my 57 Deluxe and my Pro Junior."
-Reverend Paul in Rochester, NY

"I purchased 4 Jensen C10Rs to replace JBLs that were in a 1970 Super reverb I recently acquired. It was way too heavy with the JBLs, so I sold the JBLs for "mucho dinero" and replaced with the Jensens. I also have a 1966 Super Reverb (my amp for 20 years!) with another brand replacement speakers for comparison. The C10Rs were perfect for the Super -good full tone, nice and chimey - my idea of a perfect Super Reverb tone! Give these serious consideration for Fender replacements - they are much nicer than the price would indicate."
-Chuck P of the Fabulous Chubby Johnson Band, Phildelphia, PA

"The Jensens have really added punch and clarity to my Electroplex Rocket 50. I constantly get compliments about my amp on stage and the recorded sound."
-
Steve in Upper Darby, PA

"I am very pleased with the speakers. They sound incredible. I have a Fender Super Reverb that I love but for some reason something vibrates on the cabinet and it's really annoying for when I am recording. I have had technicians look at it twice and it's not the speakers or anything they can find. So, I built two custom enclosures for the two Jensen 15's that I bought and they sound amazing. I have them wired in parallel, and disconnected the Super Reverb's speakers. One thing I love about the 15's is the bass and the clarity of all of the EQ range. It's one of those things where you just crank your amp up as loud as it goes and you can't help but smile because it sounds so good, crystal clear. With a limited 60th Telecaster and a SRV strat, you can't beat it. I am definitely happy with the purchase.
-Jeremy in Hollidaysburg, PA

"I have a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb who's speaker gave up the ghost. Knowing that Jensen had reissues of their vintage speakers, I purchased a C12Q for my amp. When I fired that baby up with the new speaker it was like a trip back in time. The tone was tight, focused and warm, all the things a great Fender Deluxe should be and for the price, I'm not afraid to get after it a little".
-Randy in Charlotte, NC

"I play through a 1964 Fender Blackface Deluxe, not a Deluxe Reverb, a Deluxe. (Yep, the good sounding one). It is completely original except for tubes and a new Jensen P12R. There is no difference in the sound of the original speaker and the new P12R. I also use a 1965 Champ with a new P8R in it. Same deal...no difference in sound from the original speaker. If you are rebuilding an old low wattage Fender amplifier this is the way to go. These people totally nailed the sound of their original speakers. Thank you Jensen."
-Tony in New York City

"If you are looking for Fender clean and Tele spank and you are not using Jensen, you are wrong!"
- Steve of the Logan Tucker Band - Rockne,TX

"I purchased 4 P10R's to put in a custom cab I built to reproduce a Bassman sound. I used some 40 year old pine I had in the garage and modeled it after my 59 Fender Pro. The sound quality is superb and just what I was looking for and the final cost was very reasonable. I'm thinking about building a 1 x 12" cab next."
- Michael in Medford, OR

"...though some may scratch their heads- I recently popped a pair of Neo 12-100's into my 50 watt Marshall JCM 800 combo...thinking the lighter speakers would be worth the tonal tradeoff (I'm a busy NYC guitarist with a walkup apartment)...guess what...no tradeoff, except haulin' gear is easier!"
-Rob in New York City

"I purchased 4 Jensen Mod 10" 50 watt speakers (4 ohms) to build a 4x10 bass cabinet.. These really pumped out the sound and never distorted, nice clear tight punchy bass. The real surprise was when I used my Mesa Heartbreaker head for my guitar! WOW! I usually use a 4x12 Eminence cab, but these Mods REALLY sounded better. Again, nice definition, just the right amount of breakup when driven hard, very articulate. I now recommend the Mods to everyone! Great tone and quality at an even better price."
-
Ty in Columbia, TN

"Through a period of playing with a very loud country band, I found the opportunity to purchase additional Jensen speakers and settled on the Jensen C10Q model, using 2 -25 watt models and 2 -35 watt models (which really tightens up the low end). The tone of these speakers with the Bassman combo is too good to be chance alone. They are spectacular with Strats, Teles and my '83 Ibanez AM-205 Artist with humbuckers. "Bell-like highs" and "harmonic grind" is not lip-service for these speakers...they deliver consistently satisfying tone every day. When this amp hits the cusp of overdrive(4-5), it's a glorious tone that has a "wetness" that really brings out the nuances, especially if you are using fingers on the strings. The Jensens are voiced very specifically for the tonal range of any guitar I use. Country, Jazz, Blues, Funk and Rock are all well-served by Jensen quality and mystique.

I hope the Jensen engineers never mess with a good thing! You guys got it right with this design! Don't change anything! Please!
Thank you Jensen!"
-Gary in Memphis, TN

"I repaced the speakers in my vibrolux reverb 1968 model and sounds like it did when I bought it if not better."
-Wes

"Jensen Neo speakers have killer tone and are super lightweight. Maybe that's why several boutique amp makers use them. I've had mine for over a year now and since they're rated at 100 watts RMS, they can handle just about any amp application. One of the best all around speakers on the market today. You owe it to yourself to check one out!"
- Jay in Divine Corners, NY

"I've used the "Mods". Love the 12 incher. Hope to be able to use more in the future."
-Kelly

"I think the NEO10-100's are the greatest sounding speakers I could possibly have picked for my 66 Vibrolux (Don't worry, I still have the original speakers). I have every speaker imaginable around my studio and have tried them all. With this amp and also a THD Univalve and a Bivalve, the NEO 10-100 speakers just sing. Chimey, clear, articulate. They are super. I liked them so much I rebuilt my 68 Twin and put two 12-100s in it. I can't say enough about these speakers. They are very, very efficient so even though they are 100 watt speakers making it a 200 watt cabinet, I'm only pushing them with 15 watts from the Univalve or 30 watts from the Bivalve or Vibrolux. They don't need the power to sound good. Todd's advice was right on the money. Plus they are light having the Neodymium magnets. These are the speakers I always record with."
-
Mark in Monticello, IN

"I used three 10" Jenson 35W Mod speakers to build my son a 3x10 bass cabinet. He's used it extensively over the last three years, and it continues to perform well. The band he is in, The Policy, would no doubt say that Jensens Rock!"
- Jim in Rock Hill, MO

" I bought 4 C10Q's for my 70's Fender Super reverb amp..and I couldn't be more delighted with the quality and sound these things produce..they really seem to suit this amp well..My old amp sounds better than ever! Thanks Jensen!"
-
RL in Florida

"Well, finally my P12R fried on my 1955 Fender Deluxe. I had a gig so I put in a new P12Q. The amp has opened up more than I expected. My amp tech commented that he had to place the (57) at fifteen degree off axis to compensate for the increase in volume. I usually carry a Mesa Boogie Studio 22 with a 90 watt Black Shadow as a backup amp, but it doesn't look like I'll need it. You guys Rock!!"
-
JS in Highland Park, IL

"Picked up a White model 80 amp at a swapmeet, it had tubes in the wrong sockets and a junky no-name modern speaker. Didn't know quite what it was at the time, but figured anything made in Fullerton might have a Fender link. I replaced the filter caps (saving the old ones) and installed tubes from my NOS stash. The final touch was ordering a Jensen P8R speaker. It's a great-sounding amp for harp, lap steel, and my Oscar Schmidt electric dobro."
-
Walt in California

"The Jensen name speaks for itself – Quality!! What else can I say?!!"
- David in Corona Del Mar, CA

"I've been playing guitar for 42 years, and have been playing in bands for 32 years. I bought several Jensen C10R speakers for two Fender Princeton Reverbs, one Fender Princeton, and one Fender Pro Jr. I have gigged with all of these amps. This speaker makes a 12 watt Fender Princeton Reverb loud enough to gig with. The C10R sounds much better than many of those high dollar boutique speakers I've tried. The C10R was very full sounding right out of the box. It took all of my amps to a different level. Clean or distorted - it sounds very even without a hint of harshness. Don't let the small magnet fool you - this speaker takes low guitar notes without a problem. The smaller magnet also makes the amp easier to transport."
- Bill in Fresno, CA

"I am pleased to say that my choice of a Jensen "P10R" and a "P12R" Alnico speaker return the 44 year old Gibson GA-30RVT to its formal glory. The Jensen Vintage speakers give a very rich and warm sound, exactly what I was looking for, Thank You!"
- Lefty in New Hampshire

"I’ve modified a 1971 Bogen 10watt class A tube PA amp & now I’m putting the cabinet together. The thing sounds great with the P10R. I love the sound & the speaker is definitely what I wanted for this. I play an Electric mandolin & this is a big improvement."
- Chris in Williamsville, New York

"I Purchased a C10Q for a handmade pine practice amp cabinet to go with a high gain low wattage head. I couldn’t be happier with the way the C10Q sounds with the amp. This speaker is the voice of pure rock n’ roll."
-
Matt in Dallas, PA

"I bought two Jensen Mod 10x50's to put in an old 3x10 guitar cabinet. Do they ever sound killer! I'm running a SSH Strat through an Orange Tiny Terror into the cab; what an incredible combination it turned out to be! Crunchy and grungy, just how I like it. These speakers are awesome "
-
Marcos in Phoenix, AZ

"Upon a recommendation from another jukebox collector, I purchased two C12Q speakers and installed them in my 1967 Seeburg jukebox. They sound terrific, much like the originals! Exact fit, and excellent tonal qualities for a vintage jukebox."
-
Andrew in Sun Prairie, WI

"The new Jensen speakers are awesome. I have been playing most of my 32 years with Jensen speakers. The new ones offer a lot of choices in shaping the sounds of my amps! Keep up the good work." - Greg in Texas City, TX

"I bought a P12R and put it into a vintage Fender Deluxe
Reverb amp. Really made a huge difference in tone for the amp. My pair of C10Q's in an open back cabinet produces the best tone around the block. You can't beat them!."
-
Chris in Schenectady, NY

"I am collecting parts to build a Fender Bassman clone and will use P10R's - they are my favorite speaker." - Brent

"The speakers, quite honestly rock!! They fit perfectly in my vintage Ampeg amp. I am very pleased and will recommend Jensen to those who are looking for the best of the best!!"
-
M&M Killian

"I now have AlNiCos in my amplifiers and am very satisfied."
-
Jerry in Jacksonville, FL

"I am a huge fan of the new Jensen's. By that I mean the whole series of reissue vintage models and the new products as well. I first became hooked by trying out the P12N in my 1954 Fender Deluxe. That was it! I was a fan from then on. It was like adding 10 watts of power along with more headroom and most importantly, the tone was right there. Perfect. Which is really what it's about, the tone" - Jeff

" I have always played hollowbody ES Gibson guitars with P-90s, so I am used to alot of break up in my tone, but recently since I have been traveling overseas more and more I have switched to a Telecaster for its durability and ease of travel, the tone from Tele pickups coupled with my style of aggessive fingerpicking comes off a bit harsh, and I have struggled to get the tone I am used to, however the P-15N gives me a muddier breakup and smoother tone at a lower volume, and has helped me to get a bit closer to the P-90s I am used to. Thanx for everything." - Eddie in Denver, CO

"I actually ended up purchasing a pair of C12Ks. I installed them in my Fender Twin and absolutely love the sound. I was looking for speakers that wouldn't
break up quickly because I like to have a lot of headroom in order to get some jazz tone and also make good use of my effects pedals. These speakers fit the bill and if I ever need to replace them I'm sure I'd just buy another pair as long as they're available" -
RC

" I purchased a 10" NEO speaker for my little Peavey Classic 20 amp. I don't think I could be more pleased with it. It did seem to possess a fair amount of an "in-your-face" character at first, but I found the sound of it to be quite agreeable right off the bat, and trusted that it would mellow out some once it had a few hours on it. This has indeed proved to be the case. I would recommend the Jensen NEO for any guitar player looking for any of the following characteristics in a speaker - exceedingly well balanced tone from low to high frequencies. In terms of how a given speaker might impart its own "color," I would say that the NEO is refreshingly neutral in this respect, and it is this characteristic of the speaker that I most appreciate. It's efficient. Even though it is rated at 100 watts, it still sounds full being pushed by 20 watts. It's really really light in weight. Not that this amp was heavy in the first place, but if we can put a man on the moon, why should we have to endure schlepping around annoyingly heavy amps or enclosures in the 21st millenium?!"
-
Clint in Gretna, LA

"It will handle a lot of power -- I don't anticipate ever having this one go up in smoke.." -
James in Houston, TX

"I love my MOD speaker -- absolutely no complaints." - James in Houston, TX

"I have had many great experiences with Jensen speakers in the past. As a matter of fact, my first electric guitar amplifer as a kid had Jensens."
-
Anthony in Meriden, CT

"The C10Q is hands down, the BEST 10" ceramic speaker made... period. Great tone, and reliable. What more do you want?" - Uri in Kent, OH

"The Jensen speakers I purchased are much better than the stock speakers that were originally in my amp." - Al in Burbank, CA

" I've put the speakers in cabinets that I designed and made in my basement shop and powered by the noisy cricket amp and they are making some great noise. Yes, I'll be ordering some more again soon!" - Jim

"I ended up purchasing the Jensen speaker originally spec'd for my Fender Vibrolux guitar amplifier. The speaker sounds great! Thank you for your help!"
-
Mike

"Jensen rocks! " - Liz in Young America, MN

"I don't play in a band but I've been playing and building amps and guitars for 37 years and the Jensen speaker is probably the best one I've had so far ( I had a Fender Pro Junior for 5 years and got rid of it before I got the Jensen speaker - thinking now that the Jensen would have really made that amp come to life. It was a good one but could have been a great one with the help of a pair of Jensen's.

The bottom line is that a Jensen speaker married to a decent tube amp gets the clean sound sooooo right! This is the foundation to getting an electric guitar to soundgood, get the clean sound working and everything else falls into place. Couldn't be happier!!!" -
Kody in Chandler, AZ

"The Tone Chart offers a lot of insight into the correct applications for your products." - Jeff in Atlanta, GA

"I am currently using two P10R alnico speakers in my 1971 silverface Fender Super Reverb. The Jensen speakers deliver the bright vintage tone I had been looking for. Thanks, Jensen Speakers" - Geoffrey in Sacramento, CA

"I have a Fender twin that sports two Jensen C12N's and am very happy with the sound." - Jeff in Eden, NC

"I got my husband a 12" Jensen speaker for his vintage Garnet amp that he is very pleased with." - Patricia in Ontario, Canada

"The P12Q is excellent." - Walter in Somerset, MA

"I put the speaker in an Epiphone Valve special because the stock speaker was junk.  I like the sound of the speaker, but if I had it to do over I probably would have bought a Neodymium speaker which I understand is a bit brighter and a little louder (I don't need a whole ton of volume because I use this amp only for  little duo gigs where the other guy plays acoustic.  With my electric bands I play a Lonestar 100watt 4 x 10" half stack), but overall I'm pleased.  I have two bands, a classic rock band called "The Sofa King Cool Band" and a blues band  called "Blues Eyed Blonde".

Mark in Garden Grove, CA

"I am very happy with the Jensen reissues."
-
Jim in Warsaw, IN

"My Pro Junior sounded muffled and dull, like someone had stuffed the amp in a sleeping bag. I popped out the old speaker and put in a P10Q and it's now like a new amp – much more bright and lively and more fun to play!"
-
Brian in Boise, ID

"I did purchase a C8R 4ohm speaker to use with my kit amp:
The speaker is a good match for this amp and has considerable volume capabilities."
-
James in Mequon, WI

"We play a lot of basement shows in the Philly area and it really sucks hauling a cabinet up and down stairs. I put Neo 10's in my 4x10 cabinet and now it's easy to haul around. My amp sounds great and my back feels much better."
-
Paul in Philadelphia, PA

“Great speakers. Liked them so much I picked up a C12N, P12Q and MOD 12-50 to re-do three respective new amps to give them a more vintage tone.”
-
Brian in Greenwood, IN

"Found a Champ for five bucks at a garage sale that was pretty beat up. I did a complete cap job, put in a JJ 6V6 and a Jensen P8R. This amp now sounds fantastic."
-
Ben in Indianapolis, IN

"I just want to say that the pair of 12" MODS I bought and installed in an older Kustom cabinet sound fantastic. I have used many Jensen products over the years and they have always been my first choice. The reason is simply - they are the best. In my opinion anyhow. I have never been dissapointed with any Jensen speaker I have ever had. You can hand them a hefty beating and they hold up well. They will remain my first choice."
